Coronavirus travel health
From 1 October 2022, Thailand reclassified COVID-19 from a dangerous communicable disease to a communicable disease under surveillance. This reduces protocols and restrictions on COVID-19.
The Avani + Riverside Hotel Bangkok has issued the following Safety and Hygiene Policy and these Safety Measures to try to ensure the safety of guests.
IMRP participants should check with their airline to see if they have any additional rules or requirements before travel.
MRP20 attendees who are not fully vaccinated or who feel more comfortable wearing a face mask are encouraged to do so. Masks will be available at the registration desk upon request.
In the event that IMRP20 attendees feel unwell during their time in Thailand they are requested to immediately take a Covid test, to self-isolate and to notify the hotel and IMRP20 registration desk.

REVIEWING YOUR PPT
On the day before your presentation, please go to the speaker check-in at the registration desk to have a look at the PPT we have on file for you and verify the formatting and any embedded videos on our presentation PCs.
If you have an updated PPT, you have to bring it on a USB key and upload it at the speaker check-in desk the day before your presentation, and verify that all content displays correctly.
Uploading your PPT last minute on the day of your presentation may prevent the complete testing of your updated file.
If you have polling questions, we will explain to you how this will work at the speaker check-in desk as well. Corrections to polling questions can only be made at the speaker check-in desk the day before your presentation. We are not able to make changes to polls once you arrived at your session.
ARRIVAL AT YOUR SESSION – 30 min before session start
Please meet the technician at the tech table in your session room, 30 min before end of the break, to review the computer and stage set-up and see how to launch your presentation.

You will be presenting from a podium. You will not be able to walk on the stage while speaking.

Certificates of Presentation can be requested via email from our Program Manager Leona Hanemann at leona@iseventsolutions.com. Please note that the Certificate reflects the Presenter’s name and mentions the abstract authors.

Entrance to the scientific sessions and the exhibit hall will be limited to badge holders only. For security purposes, delegates, accompanying guests and exhibitors must wear their name badges to all social functions.

Tipping is not generally expected in Thailand, though it is appreciated. The exception is loose change from a large restaurant bill – if a meal costs 488B and you pay with a 500B note, some Thais will leave the change. At many hotel restaurants and upmarket eateries, a 10% service charge and 7% VAT may be added to your bill.
The standard rate of VAT is 10%, but the rate is currently reduced to 7% until 30 September 2023 (unless further extended by the government). VAT is levied on the sale of goods and the provision of services.
